Fourth seed Frencesca Schiavone will open her singles account on centre court when the ASC Classic's second day gets underway, 11am Tuesday.

Schiavone, who will team up with countrywoman Flavia Pennetta for doubles action later in the programme, is currently ranked 17th in the world and takes on French qualifier Stephanie Cohen-Aloro.

Next, Kiwi Marina Erakovic, eliminated from the doubles on Day One, takes on 50th-ranked Frenchwoman Alize Cornet in her first singles outing since returning from injury, followed by Chinese second seed Li Na and Estonian Kaia Kanepi.

Li defeated Kanepi at the Beijing Olympics in 2008.

The evening session begins at 7.30pm with German Tatjana Malek taking on Russian Maria Kirilenko, who prevailed over her rival in Toronto last year in their only previous encounter.
