Wickmayer In Semis

Belgian third seed Yanina Wickmayer will face Israeli Shahar Peer in the singles semifinals of the ASB Classic tomorrow.

In a battle of the wild cards, Wickmayer breezed past Japanese veteran Kimiko Date Krumm 6-2 6-2 in the KIA Motors Singles quarterfinals, breaking her opponent''s serve five times en route to the next round.

Wickmayer has won her only previous meeting with Peer after her opponent retired injured with a foot stress fracture.

Italian top seed Flavia Pennetta was next on centre court, taking on Slovak Dominika Cibulkova.
