A new handbag for Radwanska?
Today’s singles finalists both believe that consistency will be the key to being crowned the ASB Classic 2013 champion.

Our top seed Agnieszka Radwanska has not yet lost a set, while third seed Yanina Wickmayer had an epic battle in yesterday’s semifinal against Mona Barthel, only winning by a whisker in a tiebreak in the third set.
This will be Wickmayer’s third ASB Classic final. She won the title in 2010 and was the runner-up in 2011. She’s familiar with the court and her surroundings in Auckland and she’s armed with a game plan for Radwanska today.
“It’s going to be a tough match for me to find a balance between being aggressive and not making too many mistakes. Once I find that rhythm I think we are going to have a good match.”
Radwanska is renowned for frustrating her opponents with smart tactics. Wickmayer knows that she will be challenged until the end.
“It’s always tough to play her, she doesn’t give you any free points, she makes you work for every shot and it’s definitely going to be the toughest match in this tournament.”
Radwanska peaked at world no.2 last year and she enters this tournament with a world ranking of four. This is her first visit to the ASB Classic and she is pleased with her performance so far.
“I’ve never been in a final in the first tournament of the year so it’s a good start and I’m going to do everything in my power to win that match today. Winning a title is a great thing, especially in a tournament that I haven’t played in before.”
And she’ll be doubly inspired to win today because every time she wins a WTA title she celebrates by buying herself a new Louis Vuitton handbag.
