The successful doubles player had a strong singles season shooting up the rankings to 41 after starting the year at 111.

Lucie Hradecka made the semifinal in Memphis in February, and went all the way to the final in Barcelona in April beating Roberta Vinci and Sara Errani en route to the final. She made her top 50 debut after this effort.

The highlight of her year was her first Grand Slam doubles title on her favourite clay surface at Roland Garros in May with Andrea Hlavackova. She continued her doubles success winning her 11th WTA doubles title in Bad Gastein in July
