The 21-year-old Canadian reached her first WTA final in Memphis in February last year after entering the top 100 the previous month.

After reaching the third round at Roland Garros in May, Rebecca Marino debuted in the world top 50 and went on to reach her career high of 38 in July. Coached by Simon Larose, she has won four ITF Women’s Circuit singles titles and one doubles title.

Marino’s best tennis memories are her first top 100 win in Québec City and qualifying for the 2010 US Open. She grew up in Vancouver, says her best shots are her serve and forehand, and she loves the hard courts.
