Another top-notch day at the ASB Classic!

Top seed Caroline Wozniacki didn’t waste any time with her match today, moving swiftly past Petra Martic 62 62 and one step closer to the ASB Classic crown. Unlike Wozniacki, third seed Barbora Strycova had another marathon game, a three-set battle against Kristen Flipkens. Strycova was a set up and on her way to finish off the match in straight sets but like her contest against Errani last night, it went to a third set decider. Strycova eventually closed out the match 61 67(3) 62.

On the outer courts today, American qualifier Sachia Vickery kept her winning streak going with a straight set victory over Veronica Cepede Royg while American wildcard Sofia Kenin fought hard to overcome Varvara Lepchenko 64 76(6).

All eyes will be back on court tomorrow with the top eight decided, the quarter-final match ups will provide even more entertainment for the Auckland crowd and the tennis fanatics.
