It's Charity Day at the ASB Classic

It's Charity Day at the ASB Classic

As the ASB Classic’s official charity partner, Ronald McDonald House Charities (RMHC®) has called upon well-known Kiwis to play in an exciting mixed-doubles charity match at the tournament’s annual charity day on Thursday January 7.

Taking place between the day’s fourth and fifth games, the match will see RMHC® kids take on the important ‘ball kids’ role for the charity match. It is a match not to be missed!

There are a number of ways to support the Ronald McDonald House Charities (RMHC®) today at the ASB Classic.

Look out for the following activities and entertainment:

  • An RMHC®  child will take over from the umpire and run the first game’s coin toss– look out for their customised socks;
  • Lobbo:  Buy some tennis balls and take part in the fun ‘lobbo’ ball throwing competition on centre court.  Look out for ASB ambassadors selling the tennis balls: $25 for 20 balls, $15 for seven balls or $10 for three balls.
  • The ASB/RMHC® charity arcade in the fan zone;
  • ASB/RMHC® sweet cart at ‘The Serve’ area;
  • All ASB customers will receive a free RMHC®  cushion from the ASB stand in the fan zone;
  • Help ASB share the love for RMHC® by purchasing a tennis ball for $2 to fill the heart wall.

All proceeds will go direct to RMHC®.
