Kiwis in action today
All four of our Kiwi players are hitting the court today in doubles for the opening day of the ASB Classic.
Top ranked Kiwi doubles player Erin Routliffe (107) has teamed up with Chilean Alexa Guarachi and will be the first New Zealander to take the court today. The pair have drawn a tough first round match against defending ASB Classic singles champion, Julia Goerges and her partner Timea Babos but with home crowd support, this Kiwi is ready to fly!
Kiwi teens Valentina Ivanov and Elys Ventura are pairing up. The two 17-year olds will feature on Grandstand court against New Zealand no1 Paige Hourigan and her partner American Taylor Townsend. This match up guarantees a Kiwi will advance to the second and the perfect opportunity for all the tennis fans to support our local talent!
The full order of play for Monday 31 December is available at asblcassic.co.nz
Today’s twilight session kicks off at 3pm with tickets available from Ticketek.co.nz. Matches on Grandstand and Court 2 are accessible to all ticketholders, including Ground Passes which are available from just $15.
