The semi-finals have been confirmed for the ASB Classic, the final four are made up of a former champion, an expat Kiwi, a big serving German and an American.

The first semi-final on court is between the former ASB Classic champion Philipp Kohlscreiber and American Tennys Sandgren. Kohlscreiber is hitting the same kind of form that saw him win 8 ATP titles while Sandgren is hitting his stride just in time to defend his points at the Australian Open.

Next up is the boy who grew up in New Zealand but now resides in Great Britain, Cam Norrie beat American rising star Taylor Fritz in the quarter-finals and now takes on big serving German Jan-Lennard Struff. The German is ranked higher, but Norrie feels at home in Auckland and that could see the MacCleans old boy get through.

Kiwis are also in action in doubles, Mike Venus and partner Raven Klaasen are already through and fellow Kiwis Artem Sitak and Marcus Daniell need to win their quarter-final matches tonight to advance as well.
